About Black Cohosh
Black Cohosh is a perennial flowering plant native to Eastern North America.
Its distinctive columns of delicate white blossoms and deep green foliage are
a sight to behold. Native Americans first discovered its usefulness, and
Thompsonian, Eclectic, and Physiomedicalist physicians later learned about
the herb through indigenous traditions.
According to renowned herbalist David Winston, Black Cohosh may be used on
its own, but it is often more effective in supporting the natural and normal
changes associated with menopause* when combined with complementary herbs
such as Chaste Tree berry and Dong Quai in a well-designed herbal formula.
